South Asian Heritage Event
An evening of creative sharings on and around South Asian experiences, history, culture and art.
For this, Zarshaa Ismail (she/her) and Akshita shared a stylised improvised performance art piece using body paint, permanent markers and conversation on the brown experience.
Together, they covered topics of skin, racism, unconscious bias, body hair, romance, social groupings, food, stereotypes, friendships and what it means to talk through it, to continue being anti-racist, anti-colonialist and prioritise love, care and equality.
