Grab The Mic Festival

The Grab The Mic Festival was a collection of works by the pioneer graduating class of BA (Hons) Theatre and Social Change.

This three day festival of celebrations and provocations was a culmination of three years of creative rigour and growth which interrogated the way the cohort continue to interact with the world around them. This festival was produced and performed by the same artists. In a time where negativity and injustice run rampant, their ethos is that collective community action can alter the trajectory and better shape the future.

Created by a cohort of early career artists, thinkers and makers, the sharings will offer alternate ways of considering a vast and profound range of socio-political and social justice topics.

Each piece is informed by lived experience, imagination and observations of the world, shared in a variety of presentations, from workshops to musicals to solo shows. This festival is an advancement towards the revolution.

Artists: Akshita, Eleanor Sloan, HRH Aprodite I, Jessica Wulandari, Jonathan Stirling, Martha Hale, Meg McGrady, Natasha Pavey and Nelson Nash
